The new Path Act Law was designed to cut back on identity fraud and also fabricated returns. With the increase in identity fraud they feel as if they have to pass new laws to help protect us tax payers. If you file your tax return before Feb. 15, 2017 and you have claimed the earned income credit (EIC) or the child tax credit (CTC) your refund will not be issued out until Feb. 15. so it could take up to 21 days until after that date. So with that being said please be very patient and plan ahead. If possible please save any reciepts and all info you will claim on your refund. I see many audits and reviews ahead.
